Given a mathematical structure and a language that describes the structure, we can consider sequences in the structure that are homogeneous with respect to the language. In model theory, these sequences are called 'indiscernible sequences', and using this, we can induce notions of 'smallness' and 'independence'. In this talk, we will introduce ideas and methods for doing this.
