The quantum BGK model is a relaxation time approximation of the quantum Boltzmann equation which describes the dynamics of the rarefied quantum gas. In this talk, we consider the existence and asymptotic behavior of the quantum BGK model. More precisely, we establish the existence of unique classical solutions and their exponentially fast stabilization when the initial data starts sufficiently close to a global quantum equilibrium. This is from joint works with Professor Seok-Bae Yun.
