Quantum information is a rapidly emerging field of science and technology aiming to achieve information processing with quantum advantage. It includes quantum computation, quantum communication, and quantum sensing. There are two usual ways of dealing with quantum information: discrete variable, e.g., 0 and 1, and continuous variable (CV), e.g., position and momentum. In this presentation, I introduce the concept of nonclassicality and non-Gaussianity for quantum optics and briefly explain how those properties serve as valuable resources for CV quantum information. Also, I introduce recent achievements (1-3) and discuss future studies.
